In our fifth grade reading group, we explored a new website last week. After reading Dovey Coe and doing a little bit of research on the justice system, we were quite intrigued by Argument Wars.
Argument Wars allows students to argue their side for a Supreme Court case. The "judge" has a finite amount of points to award for quality arguments. Once the points have been given out, the winner is the side with more acquired. Afterwards, information is shared about how the actual case played out and what the decision was. Please take the time to explore this site with your child, or to allow them to explore it themselves!
